2019 Salsa Fat Bikes

2019 Salsa Beargrease

The Beargrease is Salsa’s performance fat bike. After five successful years, the first production carbon fat bike has been redesigned to be better than ever.  Increased tire capacity now allows the Beargrease to accommodate up to 4.6" tires on 100mm rims, and most 27.5 x 4" tires.  The Beargrease’s influential ride and handling characteristics are preserved, while the chainstay length (440mm) remains unchanged.

2019 Salsa Mukluk

The Mukluk is Salsa’s most versatile fat bike, designed and engineered to excel in the wide variety of conditions.  The frame utilizes 197mm rear spacing to accommodate up to 5" tires, and the 100mm threaded bottom bracket allows a wide range of crank (Q-factor) choices.  Alternator 2.0 dropouts allowing for some of the shortest chainstay lengths available, easily supporting single speed or geared drivetrain options.  The Mukluk can do it all.

Salsa Warbird

The biggest part of the 2019 all-road lineup is the release of the completely redesigned Warbird v4. There are too many important new features to mention in one paragraph, so we’ll single out Dual Wheel Size Compatibility. That’s right, Warbird can now run up to 700c x 45mm OR 650b x 2.1” wheels/tires. With five model levels, all sharing the same incredible carbon frame, there is truly a Warbird for everyone.

2019 Salsa Vaya

Salsa's original steel All-Road bike returns in one model level with two colorways. New graphics bring a bit of sizzle, but the bigger news is the use of the Waxwing carbon fork. The Waxwing fork features side-mounted Three-Pack mounts, low rider mounts for our Down Under rack, and internal dynamo wire routing. Vaya has become an even more versatile thriller for the steel-is-real set.

2019 Journeyman

The Journeyman is Salsa’s aluminum all-road bike designed with the versatility to fulfill a wide variety of missions, from gravel racing to rail-to-trail excursions.  All feature the ability to run wide, loose-surface-friendly tires; 700c x up to 50 mm or 27.5 x up to 2.2" tires. The frame accepts racks and fenders, or keep it stripped to the basics. Mounts on the Fantail fork allow you to carry extra water or gear, or to run a low rider rack and panniers.

2019 Salsa Timberjack

The Timberjack is Salsa's aluminum hardtail mountain bike that’s equally at home on singletrack or bikepacking to places you’ve yet to discover. Designed with fast-handling trail geometry, clearance for either 29" or 27.5+ wheels and super short chainstays, aid in it's nimble agility. Alternator dropouts facilitate diverse drivetrain setups and emergency "just gotta get back to the trailhead" gearing.

Timberjack has been widely popular with its modern trail bike geometry and feature rich design. Salsa is pleased to introduce three model levels in both 29 and 27.5+ wheel sizes, including a new higher end NX Eagle spec.

2019 Salsa Timberjack Kids

One year into Salsa's first foray into the Kids bike arena, the Timberjack 20 and 24 with rigid forks return. Those forks allow kids to carry extra water bottles, help haul gear on family outings, or just carry empty containers for collecting bugs, rocks, leaves or whatever catches their fancy. But we’re also psyched to add Timberjack 20 SUS and Timberjack 24 SUS to the lineup. Sporting front suspension forks, these are destined for little rippers everywhere working on learning the ropes of mountain biking.
