Details

The Fuji Track doesn't need a bloated name to tell you what this classic's all about. With a tried-and-true chromoly steel frame, flip-flop rear hub, and stiff forged alloy crankset, this retro velo steed is just as capable on city streets as it is holding a line on the boards. Remove the front and rear brakes for track use, or grab your lock and shoot through traffic on your way to school or work.

    Comments:

I use my Track daily to get some exercise in the morning on a bike path. It's a tight fixie and has a good feel for the road. I would definitely recommend adding a front brake if you are going to be riding in the street. It has a high gear ratio so it is best for flat runs with not too much climbing.

    Comments:

As a freewheeler or fixed, this bike is great fun. Best legal money/fun ratio on the planet. Allows you to focus on the ride and your companions, not what gear you'll be in next, and GREAT exercise. Also good for use inside on the trainer; the need to adjust tension occasionally is more than offset by the challenge of pedaling backwars, which my PT recommends (I am late 50's and have had knee surgereies). 2 warnings - practice before using in traffic and have the bike shop put on a front (yes, front) brake and "college" pedals. You will want to use your "real" bike shoes ASAP
